Authors Biography

Michael Krepon is President of the Henry L. Stimson Center. He is the author/editor of Strategic Stalemate: Nuclear Weapons and Arms Control in American Politics (1984), Verification and Compliance: A Problem-Solving Approach (1988), Arms Control in the Reagan Administration (1989), Commercial Observation Satellites and International Security (1990), The Politics of Arms Control Treaty Ratification (1991), and Open Skies, Arms Control and Cooperative Security (1992).

Amit Sevak is a lecturer at the Foreign Affairs College, Beijing, as the recipient of the 1995-96 Henry Luce Scholarship. In 1994-95 he coordinated the Visiting Fellows Program at the Henry L. Stimson Center. He holds an M.A. with Honors in International Relations and a B.A. with Honors in Sociology and Economics from the University of Chicago.
