Author Biography

Fazul Suleiman Kazi commenced his distinguished career after completing his B.A. (Hons.), M.A. (First Class, Second Position), and L.L.B. from the University of Sindh. He joined the National Bank of Pakistan in 1973, ascending through various critical leadership roles before retiring as Executive Vice President in 1998. His extensive tenure at the bank included serving as Branch Manager, Area Manager, Zonal Head, Regional Head, Regional Chief Executive, and Provincial Chief Sindh. Internationally, he held significant positions as Chief Representative at the National Bank Representative Office in Beijing, China, and as Regional Head for the America Africa Region in New York, U.S.A. He also served as Divisional Head of Corporate Affairs at NBP’s Head Office in Karachi and as Director of the Equity Participation Fund from 1996 to 1998, earning an Outstanding Performance medal in 1980 and a Gold Medal in 1996 for his exceptional contributions.

Following his retirement from the bank, Fazul Suleiman Kazi transitioned into the legal profession, establishing himself as a highly respected Pakistani jurist and legal scholar. He currently heads the law firm Kazi Law Associates as a Legal and Corporate Consultant and actively practices as an Advocate of the Sindh High Court in Karachi. His career, deeply marked by a profound engagement with legal principles and their practical application, particularly in areas such as administrative and constitutional law, is further reflected in his insightful writings, including his notable work on discretionary power, establishing him as an authoritative voice in Pakistani legal discourse.
