Author Biography

H. Ganapathy Hebbar was Deputy General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL). He had joined the erstwhile P&T department in 1968 as a Phone Inspector. He was in-charge of installations and maintenance of mobile base stations of BSNL mobiles before he retired. Mr. Hebbar has rich experience of installation and maintenance of telex systems, PBXs, power plants, and telephone exchanges of different types during his 38 years of service in BSNL. He also has around 13 years of teaching experience at BSNL training center, where he has trained many practicing engineers and technicians. Since 2007, he is working as a faculty member at the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at BMS Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He teaches subjects related to telecommunications branch of engineering. He has authored a book titled Introduction to Digital Switching System. He is a Fellow of IETE.
