Author Biography

Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855) was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Bronte sister authors. One of the most important female writers of the nineteenth century. Her novels are considered masterpieces of English literature. Charlotte Brontë is best known for her novel Jane Eyre, which was originally published under the pseudonym Currer Bell.
