Author Biography

Prof. Dr. Sabiha Mansoor, former Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), is currently Professor of English at Lahore School of Economics. She obtained her MS TEFL and PhD in language education from the University of Reading in the UK, and her MA in English from Punjab University. An eminent educationalist and former Woodrow Wilson Pakistan scholar, she has published extensively on language planning, higher education and teacher training. Dr. Mansoor is the author of Challenge Education Pakistan: Reflections of An Educationist (LSE, 2016), Maps for Lost Teachers (BNU, 2010), Emerging Issues in TEFL (OUP, 2008), Language Planning in Higher Education: A Case Study of Pakistan (OUP: 2005), Language Planning, Policy, and Practice: A South Asian Perspective (OUP: 2004), and Punjabi, Urdu, English in Pakistan (Vanguard: 1993). She was awarded the Asia Education Excellence Award in 2015 presented by World Education Congress.
