Author Biography

Joseph Murphy was an Irish-American author, a minister in the New Thought movement, and a motivational speaker. He was born in County Cork, Ireland on May 20, 1898. As a minister of the Church of Divine Sciences, Joseph Murphy wrote, lectured, and presented extensively on human potential, development and reconstruction.

He also psychoanalyzed the everyday lives of common people and suggested concepts to improve the human condition. Joseph Murphy also hosted a daily radio show which was tuned in by millions of people. His oeuvre constitutes over thirty books. His notable works include The Miracles of your Mind (1952), Magic of Faith (1954), The Power of Your Subconscious Mind (1963), and Psychic Perception (1971). He died on December 16, 1981, in California, United States of America. Joseph Murphy’s work has been translated into several languages and has sold millions of copies worldwide.
