Description
As the reliable design software are easily available, now it is the time to concentrate on producing not only safe designs but also to produce economical designs. For this standard software are available. But to use them confidently design engineers should have basic knowledge of optimization like mathematical formulation and suitability and limitation of the software. Hence now a days design engineers must undergo a basic course in optimization. With this aim the author has written this book and hopes that students and faculty will accept it as useful textbook in engineering design.
