Intikhab-e-Kalam: Muhammad Ali Jauhar

Description

This is a representative selection of Muhammad Ali Jauhar’s poetry. Along with his political activities he used to write poetry since his childhood. When he was arrested for his rebellious views, he continued to write poetry in jail as well. One of his follower published his collection of poetry Majmooa e Kalam e Jauhar from Delhi. After that another collection of his poetry titled Azr e Jauhar was published during his second prison term.

Author Biography

Dr. Moinuddin Aqeel, PhD, DLitt, is an outstanding critic, author and linguist. He was the Chairperson of the Department of Urdu, International Islamic University, Islamabad, he has also served the University of Karachi as a Professor and the Chairperson of the Urdu department. He has also been the Director of Bureau of Composition, Compilation and Translation, University of Karachi. He is the author of many books of repute.
